William Diamond's Drum: Part Four

Acknowledging the guy looking for tubes didn't have a clue, I actually disagree with Mike on one point here -- it can be smart to have a hidden cache and it can be self-defeating to shoot it out when the team shows up at your door.  [Read]

Living to fight another day, at a time and place of your choosing, not theirs, seems like an option we'd want to leave ourselves, and if we're taken out of commission, it's a legacy to leave our children.

Bottom line -- there's no one size fits all response, and different scenarios present different potentials.

Personally, they had better plan to show up at MY door first. If they do not, I will go after them in THEIR homes.

Let's make this rather simple. I expect that New York State shall soon show what "Law Enforcement" in this country is made of, and the same for gun owners.

One possibility is that New York State "Law Enforcement" will tell their Masters to stuff it. The SAFE act is blatantly unconstitutional. EVERY one of those officers is sworn to the Constitution by their very oath of office. And being honorable men and women, they will respect that oath since it is the sole source of their authority. Of course, since the only words from New York State "Law Enforcement" have been complaints that the legislature should not have made the law apply to them, this does not seem to be a likely scenario.

Another possibility is that New York State "Law Enforcement" will go forth and enforce the law, and gun owners there will meekly comply. I'll let you decide how likely that is.

The next possibility is that gun owners will refuse to comply, but through their superior intelligence and massive manpower, New York State "Law Enforcement" shall quickly make short work of the offenders. This surely is the most likely situation, since "Law Enforcement" is far more intelligent than Mere Citizens, and there are FAR MORE "Law Enforcement" officers in New York State than there are gun owners. Or not...

Then we get to the possibility that New York State "Law Enforcement" attempts to force compliance, but gun owners rout them and inflict such heavy losses on the ranks of New York State "Law Enforcement" that they have to call for help.

At that point, at least as far as I am concerned, ANY organization that sends assistance to New York is the enemy. As is every one of their members, and every one of their families. Anytime. Anywhere. Anyhow.
