I John Kimbrough having borne arms in the service of the King of England against the United States of America and having surrendered myself as a Prisoner of War do hereby pledge my word of Honor that I will remain at and within the limits of ten miles of my own House upon little river until Exchang’d or call’d for by the Legislature of the state of North Carolina or the Commanding Officer of the Southern Army; And that I will not at any time during my Captivity say or do anything injurious to the Interest of the United States.
