The cop thought I was an idiot... [More]
Hear, hear.
The thesis here seems to be if she can act like an irresponsible moron, anyone can, and without laws against being irresponsible morons, why, irresponsible morons will be irresponsible and moronic. Or something.
I'd say if she gets through the 30 days without seriously hurting herself or someone else, she'll have made the opposite case she set out to establish. Then again, if someone were to tell her that in order to safely draw and holster any gun, but especially a Glock, you should ALWAYS keep your finger on the trigger with a light pressure to prevent it from snagging on anything, I can't help but wonder ...

A message was posted there yesterday, explaining the difference between law and morality and how the rules of both may - and should - differ.
Freedom requires the ability to make sub-optimal choices (and acceptance of responsibility for such choices).
The writer isn't making a point against people who want to be irresponsible - she's attempting to make a point for the advancement of slavery.

Same here. My comment never cleared moderation. Guess there's no room for "reasoned discourse" when your discourse disagrees with their preconceptions.
This is the sort of ignorance we've achieved with the defense of the nation being left to a Standing Army, instead of every man having an assault rifle at home and training with it.
In Switzerland, females and even pusscake metrosexual males still understand guns, and don't embarrass themselves with vapid articles like above.
And the Swiss have a peaceful nation at the expense of 1/7th of what the US spends per capita on its tyrannical military-industrial complex Lords.
“The inhabitants of Switzerland emancipated themselves by the establishment of a Militia, which finally delivered them from the tyranny of their lords.” ~Representative Jackson, first U.S. Congress, when it met and turned to defense measures in 1791
"The cop thought I was an idiot."
And so thinks every gun owner in the nation.
Get rid of it, you stupid cow! You're making the rest of us look bad. Or was that your intention?
