The US Government wants a back door into every system. Really, most of the alphabet agencies have incredible surveillance tools that Himmler or Beria could have only dreamt of. And these agencies can use them with little or no accountability, something that would have been very familiar to the secret police chiefs of yore.

Whats the matter? Don't you trust those really good, super-duper, mighty fine good guys to do the right thing? They are the ones who drove Tanks over people at Waco and called it a suicide. You don't think they would abuse their authority, do you? Are you some kind of nut?
