Police say they received a call on Thursday from the homeowner, identified as Merricks’ estranged wife, saying she was cleaning out a bedroom closet and found four ¼ sticks of TNT and assorted ammunition in a metal box marked “highly explosive.” [More]I dunno. That's enough right there to make me want to hear his side of things.

Explosives not withstanding, this part kind of bothers me.

It's a truly screwed up state when not even a cop is allowed to own ammo without a "special permit".
Suspicious item #1: TNT doesn't come in sticks. Dynamite comes in sticks, and 1/4 sticks of dynamite are known in the Free World as "fireworks."
