Deep in the Heart of Texas

Gun owners plan protest at McAllen PD after activist arrested [More]
and
Falfurrias Checkpoint Illegal detention/search of American [Watch]
There's a common misconception that Texas is some sort of anything-goes gun owner's paradise, to the point where ignorant antis even feel comfortable publishing lies about it.

I'll keep on eye on this.  Maybe on or after Saturday we can link to some pictures.

Texas "Law Enforcement" is has more ethical challenges than just the gun issue. You do recall the front door to the Koresh compound which "disappeared"? Heard anything about the vaunted Texas Rangers getting it back? And don't forget the audio recording of BATFE Agent Hope McAllister where she discusses the THIRD gun found at the scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's murder. She admits that gun was NOT from Phoenix but was instead sold in - are you ready for this - DALLAS. First of all, Dallas is NOT in the area of responsibility for the Phoenix Field Division of BATFE, but instead belongs to their DALLAS Field Division. Second, what have them noble Texas Rangers done about THAT? The stench is overwhelming. And it smells every bit as much like pig in Texas as it does anywhere else.
