Some day, in my copious free time, I need to track that story down. It sounds like it would make one hell of a script.

Middlesboro, KY is located on the KY side of the Cumberland Gap. Middlesboro is actually the site of a huge Meteor Crater (which explains the weird actions of the PoPo). The local airport is where the "Glacier Girl" P-38 Lightning was restored a few years ago. The "G.G." was one of several P-38's and a couple of B-25 or 29's that bely landed on the ice in Greenland. Thanks to Al Gore's "Global Warming" they were preserved by 256 +/- feet of snow/ice since WWII. Still several more of the WWII planes sitting UNDER the ice yet to be recovered and restored. Now I know another interesting item about that nice southern town that I can look into.
