We're the Only Ones Supportive Enough

Though he was confident that he would be able to calm Dolores, David Seyfried called the Dallas Alzheimer’s Association seeking advice and support. The DAA’s response to the situation was to contact the Lewisville police without his consent, says Seyfried. [More]
The way the laws are written, my guess is they had no choice. Which basically means if you need to seek professional help, you're screwed, and the state transforms a private mental health matter requiring a calm and judicious intervention into a violent response with criminal penalties.

That is insane.

So many things wrong with this..

An officer needs to taser a 67 year old woman in order to subdue her? under any circumstances? what?

They fired bean bags at her?

Why were the police even called?

Exigent circumstances to search the house when the "incident" occurred outside of the premises? Um NO

Did an officer really say "they saved his A&& today"? well that really goes to their mindset now doesn't it... gimme a high five and order a beer for officer krupke a hero in his own mind......

Wonder if those officers would treat their own parents with that same lack of respect they showed to those two people.

Outraged....

Did I mention that section of the privacy agreement when you sign up on healthcare.gov that states it has the right to share ANY of the information that you provide to them (including but not limited to health, financial, bank accounts, work history, etc.) with the Federal Government and law enforcement agencies?
