Universal Permitting

If we're going to be consistent, shouldn't we extend permission to the other articulated rights? [More]

Well, there already is Federal law that applies in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia, the U.S. Territories and Possessions:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

What we really need is removal of all those other Federal and non-Federal laws that infringe. The problem is not in the keeping and bearing, but the unlawful usage of arms. Vermont and several other states are close to that, but still have unnecessary restrictions.
