A Good Point

How many fire codes allow fire extinguishers that require a battery to operate? Before smartguns can be deemed reliable, therefore, they must incorporate countermeasures to address this issue.[More]
Introduce a bill requiring all government buildings to have "smart" fire extinguishers. You could come up with a rationale such as to prevent unauthorized persons from tampering with them so they are available when needed. Sit back and note what the objections coming from the gungrabbers are.

OK, I know that will never happen, but it was fun to type. Here's one that could: Design one for your place of public business where extinguishers are required, and have the fire department object and disallow it as  a violation of code, and make their reasons known.

How about emergency exits that require a key card or wristband to activate. Might be simpler to build. A store could claim it was to prevent thieves from using emergency exits to escape.
