Puppet of the Week

Knowing this man. whom I admire for his spirit of independence (among many reasons), this is actually pretty funny. [More]

"A force for sane gun laws" as defined by insane people:

Remember, with "progressives," every day is Opposite Day. Thus the projection and attack on Jerry coming from these little wooden head Brady puppets...

UPDATE: Now I'm feeling left out and rejected--neither a puppet nor  "discussion"-worthy

Has Elliot Fineman asked you to appear on his "radio" program yet?

He hasn't asked me but I would be happy to do so...

Jerry: Why? Why bother raising the profile of a complete nobody?

I never got a response to the return email I sent to him. I posted it at the link I shared.

I was curious about who or what this "NGVAC" was, so I did an online search, which led me to this article, which claimed a decline in firearms sales overall and decreasing popularity of hunting by youth:

http://gunvictimsaction.org/blog/pro-gun-minority-becoming-more-of-a-minority/

"The message of the young people statistics is clear. The old white men of the NRA who have terrorized this country and caused 30,000 gun deaths a year are on the wrong side of history. So are the old white lawmakers who do their bidding."

Really? "The wrong side of history"? Where had I seen that phrase recently?

"In domestic politics, people (mostly liberals) tend to say, “You’re on the wrong side of history” about social issues that are breaking their way. It’s a handy phrase, loosely translated as, “You’re going to lose eventually, so why don’t you give up now?”
Philosophically, the expression is abhorrent because of its “Marxist twang” (to borrow historian Robert Conquest’s phrase). Marx popularized the idea that opposition to the inevitability of socialism was anti-intellectual and anti-scientific. The progression of history is scientifically knowable, quoth the Marxists, and so we need not listen to those who object to our program.
Later, Lenin, Stalin, Mao and others would use this reasoning to justify murdering millions of inconvenient people. It was a “God is on our side” argument, minus God."
