Help Us Help You

On Monday evening, Gun Owners of America blanketed the district with phone calls to registered voters, hitting Cantor for his recent vote to expand gun control and noting that Brat stands 100% for the right to keep and bear arms. [More]
Yes, and you deserve congratulations and gratitude for that.  Particularly since "the National Rifle Association ... had five-figure independent spending to promote [Cantor]."

By the same token, you had to work against yourself and spend against that "A" grade you still give Cantor, making it problematic for supporters like me to admit -- in private emails with other activists asking for a column -- that "It’s awful tough for me to write an 11th hour GOTV article titled 'Illegal alien invasion accelerates as NRA pick Cantor waves white flag' when the group that called our attention to the gun tie-in does not exact a price for betrayal."

I don't know how many primaries have been ceded because of this disconnect, but going forward, we need to see this issue, that could change the entire landscape in a decade or two, impact grades, particularly those of us who believe in and endorse the superior reliability of those assigned by GOA. That should never be jeopardized because of something as avoidable as inconsistency.

I post this in the spirit of the title.
