Massachusetts police chiefs demand more power to disarm citizenry

“Having long guns--rifles and shotguns--especially here in the city of Boston, I think we should have, as the local authority, some say in the matter,” Boston Police Commissioner William Evans told Boston Public Radio (WGBH) in a July 23 interview. “For the most part, nobody in the city needs a shotgun. Well, I'm okay if they want to restrict the right to firearms for thos folks in Boston. As for those fols in Lexington and Concord, well let them come and take 'em!

I'm sorry but they do not, if they follow their oath to support and defend the Constitution, get to be the ones who decide who needs what. Having been in law enforcement for almost 40 years, I've always thought it was our task to fairly uphold the law, not make them.
