Point 1: So the suits lie. Who cares? There's nothing new about this ... we have come to expect nothing else. If a Chief was actually qualified, that would be newsworthy.
Point 2: So the Chief can't pass a firearms proficiency test? (see: Point 1): it's obvious that he won't be out on the streets enforcing the law against the lawless. Why should most of us care? We didn't for for or against him, and he is not our First Line of Defense.
Point 3: Politics vs Protection. If I thought this Political/Professional was my First Line Of Defense against Jeff Cooper's "Goblins", I would be CHL.
I am CHL anyway, and I don't live in his state. Let the people who vote for him worry about his competence ... or lack of it.
