What Will it Take?

In response to comments:
  • I'd say you're probably right. But why not do comparatively easy things now and avoid all those dead "ants" if possible, especially if some of those may be us or our loved ones?
  • Were that the only factor, I'd not be so cynical. But appeals have reached untold numbers of gun owners nationwide, including from having been shared on Twitter by activists with thousands of followers, and after this last push, the number now stands at a whopping "52." That's indicative to me of wider-spread apathy. Any guesses as to how many fewer have ponied up a contribution?
WarOnGuns regulars: What concrete, real world actions have you taken? What will you do today?  What will you do tomorrow? And the day after...?

To those who don't and won't lift a finger, an equally valid definition of insanity is not doing anything over and over again and expecting different results.

Can't speak for Nevadans, but I'm an active member of the Virginia Citizen's Defense League (VCDL for short). Each January I participate in our annual "Lobby Day", where hundreds of use descend on Richmond to lobby our representatives re: proposed bill we like or oppose. Various other ad-hoc rallies as they occur - trips to numerous Board of Supervisors meetings to protest actions or petition for others. Will be heading to Alexandria City Hall Saturday to protest badly worded flyers handed out by the local PD disparaging Open Carry rights, etc. (It has been "updated" since the initial firestorm broke out a few days ago. Link here: http://alexandriava.gov/uploadedFiles/police/info/OPEN%20CARRY%20VA.pdf).

Money to various legal defense funds (Shaneen Allan, and others) and to GOA as well (I'm a member), as well as the sorry NRA. It ain't much, but it's all I can do.
