A gun shop in Virginia? Outrageous! [More]

What ever happened to "home rule"?  You know, where we rule your home? And no, of course the reverse doesn't apply when we wish to enact "common sense gun safety measures" that encompass Everyperson in Everyhome in Everytown...

They also have a shop in McLean, Virginia, only about 3 miles from my home. I stopped by today to pay a visit. Shockingly, there were no squad cars stationed at the perimeter (the shop is about 2 miles from the Balls Hill police substation), no blood trails or puddles of spattered gore. Nothing whatsoever to indicate that such a nefarious outfit was conducting business. The owner was quite friendly, in fact, and we spent about ten minutes talking shop. No weapons were drawn, no flashbangs detonated. All in all it was a pleasant and uneventful visit in the heart of what is otherwise a very liberal community.
