It'll Never Be Enough

One key part of this horrific scheme -- the weapon -- came in April, when Roof bought a .45-caliber handgun at a Charleston gun store, the two law enforcement officials told Perez and Bruer from CNN, the first network to report this development. His grandfather says that Roof was given "birthday money" and that the family didn't know what Roof did with it. [More]
So he went through a "background check"?  And the antis say we still need more infringements?

How many more?

Interesting that initial reports were that his father gave him the pistol. Now it turns out that he-who-will-not-be-named bought the pistol personally, and apparently acceded to / passed the obligatory background check.

Which, ultimately, proves the value of the Background Check onus which is being inflicted upon us all ... with the goal to eliminate exactly this kind of evil.

Here now we learn that another deranged individual in Graz, Austria ran his dark green SUV into a crowd of people, then stepped out and stabbed many, including police officers and the elderly, leading to at least three deaths (including one child), thirty four injured, six of them seriously injured:

So, learning from this, should we ban SUVs, especially the dark green ones?
Should we ban knives?
Or should we acknowledge that there are deranged individuals among us capable of great violence against their fellow man who will use whatever weapon they can access, even items not usually considered weapons?
