I did. [More]
But I don't want to be on any lists!
You think owning a gun and frequenting sites like this one hasn't already put you on several?
But I don't want to get junk email!
Assuming you as a citizen truly don't want to be informed by the White House of what they're up to, just "unsubscribe" if it bugs you.
But this will just create another class of "Only Ones"!
Not really, when you consider, because of their employment, the service members' rights have been diminished below those of the citizenry.
But this won't do any good!
If you mean the administration won't do the right thing, true enough. But if you signed it and then helped make this go viral, and it took in 10 or 100 times or more the number of sigs requested, who knows what effect increased public awareness and demand would have on Republican responsiveness to a political opportunity?
The fact is, in the time it takes to articulate an objection, this could have just been done already.

Done. I also e-mailed the following to Sec Navy Mabus yesterday. If you or anyone else would like to use it please do so.
secnavpa.fct@navy.mil is the SECNAV email address
Secretary Mabus;
It has come to my attention that Lt. Cmdr Timothy White is being charged by the United States Navy for illegally discharging a firearm on federal property during the recent attack upon his command.
What do you expect of an officer who has been assigned responsibility for the welfare of the personnel under his command? Do you truly believe that a commanding officer should run to cover while his people are under attack? Is that what you would have done under the same circumstances?
Whatever happened to, “Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead.”? In your military, and in the apparent mindset of the authorities who have determined that Lt. Cmdr White should be punished for “thinking outside the box” and being prepared and willing to go to the sound of the guns, men of the likes of; Farragut, Nimitz, Puller, Butler, Halsey, Bush, Bong, and multitudes other brave patriotic sailors and Marines would have never made it through boot camp.
Lt. Commander Timothy White does not deserve punishment. He deserves a commendation and promotion to Commander. Our United States of America needs more people like Lt. Commander White, and fewer people who are more concerned in the politics of rank than in meeting the responsibilities of leadership.
Respectfully submitted,
Citizen Woody W Woodward [W3]
