U.S. Constitution Article I, Section 9, Clause 8:

“No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.”

One of the traditional features of a title of nobility is the ability to retain arms when others without title are disarmed. Why are we establishing law enforcement personnel with a feature of a title of nobility by enabling them to possess weapons and certain types of weapons when most other citizens may not? They are not our “betters”.
