Winning the PR War and the 'Progressive' Workaround

WarOnGuns Correspondent JM sends:
Two polls released in the last few days from ABC and the NY Times/CBS show that for the first time in each poll's twenty year history, banning so called "assault weapons" is a minority view. This clearly shows that the pro gun side is winning the PR War. The trajectory of the polls have take a dramatic turn in just two decades - it really is fascinating. No wonder why the same proponents of gun banning like the NY Times are also pushing for subsidized mass third world immigration - they have figured out they cannot win with the current demographics.

The demo breakdown is interesting. The 18 to 29 demo opposes the AWB 59 to 39, while the 65 year old and up crowd favors a ban 55 to 42. I wonder how much of that has to do with younger people no longer watching tv or reading newspapers, but instead getting their info from the internet?

This paragraph has to be scary for the gun banners:

"These trends leave just seven basic demographic groups in which majorities still support banning assault weapons: women, Northeasterners, seniors, post-graduates, liberals, Democrats and blacks."

That is why they bave to have millions of new voters from third world, anti-gun nations.

Wow; thanks to all for this information!

@ mack - Yeah, you really have to dig to find this info. The media is really burying this, unlike when they ran story after story after Newtown about supposed nra members wanting BG checks. That all came from the weasel Frank Luntz, the star focus group poller on foxnews.
