I'd considered using Red Basket to raise funds for Mike, but decided to go the direct appeal route since he has a relatively broad potential support base. In this case, I would suggest reviewing their "no deductions" program and beginning the application process immediately.

David, Thank you. Some of your readers have already donated. This sounded like a crazy mission at first but then an insurance agent saw my blog and contacted me. Now instead of of $50,000 plus for surgery I am after a year's worth of insurance and deductible. Thanks again and if I can be of assistance please let me know
