The Drone Defender looks like a bazooka, but it doesn’t shoot the drone, rather it disables the link between the drone and the pilot. [More]So "theoretically," such a device could disable the link between a bracelet and a "smart gun"...

David,
As an electronics an RF engineer, I can put together some lab equipment I have, and in just a few minutes have something that could interfere with the RF link enough to keep, say, the Armatix pistol, from firing.
With some more effort, a few days or weeks of spare time, I could put together something no bigger than the "drone gun" that could disable the "Smart" gun permanently by remotely burning out the receiver in the pistol.
With the Federal government's resources? They'll have a "backdoor" interface into these "smart" pistols, and won't have to resort to such crude methods to disarm citizens.
We cannot accept "smart" guns, under any circumstances. To do so is to be disarmed. If we don't know what that means, we should ask the Armenians. The ones that are still alive, that is.
