Enforce Existing Gun Laws?

You mean enforce existing Intolerable Acts? [More]

So CNBC is dusting off the "Third Way" to appear "reasonable"...?

And no "we" don't know what works. Anything that doesn't acknowledge the reality that anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian is treating symptoms, offering false hope while ignoring what's needed for a cure.

Yeah, taking the argument down this road is a non-starter.

But the greater argument has its uses. By showing that America has already given the progressives yards and yards of rope in the form of all the new gun laws they demanded, which the progs thereupon completely failed to enforce, instead yammering for even more numerous additional laws (that they would presumably not enforce either, except in extremely discretionary cases), we can bring a screeching halt to their demands for new laws. The argument of “finish what’s on your plate before you grab seconds” is very, very hard to refute.

My favorite example to use here is the number of true-positive NICS hits on criminals who try to buy guns from dealers, compared to the number of prosecutions of these criminals for two federal felonies (attempting to buy a gun, and lying on the form). You can discredit a gun grabber extremely fast with those numbers.

If questioned on why the prohibited folks trying to buy guns aren't charged and prosecuted, I can imagine then channeling Hillary and screaming "What difference does it make?"
