I've been privy to some online discussions by people knowledgeable of the on -the-ground situation in Nevada that NRA has moved in and tried to take over, elbowing out and ignoring the grassroots activists who have been with the fight in their state since the start. Among other obvious problems with that, it undermines the heretofore useful charge against "out-of-state Astroturfers."
Professional assistance with campaign strategies, effective messaging, fundraising, organization, staffing, contacts, etc. would all be welcome. Acting like the locals don't matter, an M.O. many in other states will recognize, should not be.
It actually discourages, and snuffs fire from bellies.
