Once again, a flustered Tapper interrupted: “Because the president was born in Hawaii.”
“I don’t care where he was born,” Arpaio replied. “I’m talking about a fraudulent government document, a birth certificate. That’s all I’m concerned with. That’s a violation of the law.” [More]See how Jake Tapper tried to reframe, derail and discredit the whole subject though, by introducing an unmade claim and then trying to make that the focus?

First off, the actual author of the document is known. The man who created it did so to find out experimentally how difficult it might be to create such a document and apparently it was not very difficult. He came forth shortly after the document was released.
Second, those who have examined the file itself have stated that the metadata for the document was intact and clearly provided an audit trail to show successive edits.
Thirdly I downloaded a high resolution copy of the image and under high magnification it was obvious that some of the "signatures" were in fact characters from a script font. When an actual signature is scanned it presents an entirely different look from a "signature" composed of characters in a type font. The typed "signature" may look entirely real when viewed on paper, but zoom in on the image and it becomes utterly apparent that this is not an actual signature.
But at this time such questions are utterly moot. Obama has had his 8 years irrespective of whether he was constitutionally qualified to have them. All we can do now is move on and watch the next Dem candidate like a hawk.
