We're the Only Ones Dogged Enough

Court: Police Can Shoot A Dog If It Moves Or Barks When Cop Enters Home [More]
Using that "standard," all dogs are fair game.

I suspect if someone did a chart showing dogs killed by "law enforcement," you'd see it go up sharply over the years.

Defend yourself against one of theirs at your own risk.

"The court decided that the plaintiffs failed to provide evidence showing the first dog did not lunge at police officers and that the second dog didn’t bark."

This is an impossible standard. Prove your dog didn't commit a crime, or even make a furtive movement. Does this apply to people as well?

Do I have to prove that I didn't, or my wife or child didn't, commit a crime in order to prevent a policeman from shooting me?

Oh, and remember, they are proud of themselves.

Longbow: yes, that applies to humans too.
And if you do prove beyond reasonable doubt that the cops are murdering liars, well, you might get money from your fellow taxpayers if you're lucky, but don't expect them to go to jail for 'gun violence' or 'perjury'.

What's with the water in Michigan?
I thought this article was about these dog shooting sacks of feces until I compared the details (and locations):

Ultimately, this is a fifty-fifty circumstance ! Druggies use dogs to protect their "stash" . But most of us have dongs for more complex reasons, but mostly because we like them ! Dogs are "pack animals" bred to be socialized to accept a particular group as "pack members" and a defined area as their "territory" . Strangers invading that territory or conflicting with its "pack" threat members trigger innate behavioral responses FROM AN ANIMAL ! Seems some judges think LEOs are also ANIMALS with inbred responses unmitigated by reason, training or perception they are willing to justify ! I prefer to think otherwise ! IOW, how can a Department using or seeking K-9 capability justify shooting a residents' dog for responding in the same ( or similar ) manner as their canine "officer" /
