I prefer the Hudson bill to the Cornyn bill.
I wholeheartedly agree that permits should not be required, but that ship has apparently sailed many decades ago. It would be nice to see it come back into port, so to speak, but until permits are required to write and publish newspapers, or start a church, the second amendment is the red headed stepchild of the Bill of Rights.
