Frankly, while magazine capacity might be an issue for members of law enforcement, it is not much of one for the legally armed citizen. Research into actual gunfights involving the armed citizen seldom shows more ammunition is needed beyond what’s in their concealed-carry revolver. Unlike the Walter Mitty-esque fantasy warriors, the armed citizen does not fight pitched battles with the trusty handgun. He or she uses it as an exit ticket, and it is just amazing what five or six rounds of quality defensive ammunition, accurately placed, can do to change the mindset and actions of a miscreant bent on mayhem. You and your comment fanboy "BigFoot" reminds me of the loudmouthed know-it-alls who are fixtures at the types of gun stores that drive away both the new, who feel bullied, and the discriminating, who won't stand for it.

Amen to the last paragraph! That's the biggest reason I only deal with my buddy who's an FFL and the internet. Walking into a place (even though I've been there since they opened their doors) that have cameras recording audio and visual with facial cameras at the doors only to deal with retired & off duty only ones is a nerve wracking experience when they (probably not even realizing they do it anymore) are glowering(sp?) At every move made and cynical towards anyone who isn't an only one. It's always a rolaids kind of day dealing with cops and guns in the good ole empire state. The silver lining is that after less than a minute of talking you can usually size up the fedgov loyalists (neoTories) and the actual patriots. What a weird f-up, glorious world we live in! Definitely can't complain for boredom.
Tell Melinda Herman that five or six rounds are enough! She was the Georgia woman who hid in a closet with her nine year old twins and shot intruder Paul Slater five times in the head and chest, and he still managed to go downstairs, get in his car, and drive a mile away before he collapsed from blood loss and wrecked his vehicle.
Sometimes, one has to wonder whether the NRA is really on our side. Or maybe not.

Better a revolver than no gun at all, but even a pocket 9 like a Ruger LC9S Pro has 7+1 capacity and can be reloaded quicker than a revolver. Or, they are small and light enough to carry two or more of them for a New York Reload.
Sounds like Sheriff Wilson is trolling for a job with Bloomberg. Given that flash mob gangs attack in packs these days, your daddy's 1911 might be lacking the capacity to handle the situation.
