“Like it or not,” Gottlieb observed, “the Courts have the final say whether you have gun rights or not." [More]No, you and I have the final say.
But that attitude doesn't surprise me from someone who disparaged "I will not comply," refused to admit the impact of "immigration" and a "pathway to citizenship" on that "single issue," endorsed Bloomberg immigration collaborator Grover Norquist, and based that "full vetting" on a statement Gorsuch made about not infringing "lightly."
I've gotta go with Fletcher on this one.

The courts DO have a say in whether I die peacefully in my bed or in a war with the police. I hope they'll pick the former. But my right to keep and bear arms is not subject to legislative limitation. It's part and parcel of my right to life.
These statements from Gottlieb always pull off a scab for me as I live in his home turf area (WA) and I used to - back in my stupid days - send him $. I just posted the following on my FB page (first post in probably two years, tells you how riled up this got me;-):
As if I needed another reason to loathe that felon that makes millions off of stupid gun owners (me being among that "crowd" for several years before I learned better) and is de facto a gun CONTROL freak - Bellevue WA's own bow-tied asshat Alan Gottlieb; here we have it:
“Like it or not,” Gottlieb observed, “the Courts have the final say whether you have gun rights or not. I know this first hand. The Second Amendment Foundation’s legal cases have accounted for about 80 percent of the case law that protects your individual right to keep and bear arms.”
Yep that's what he would have you believe so you can fund all these lawyers begging corrupt "judges" to rule in favor of their own oaths. And I have told his acolyte Dave Workman directly (in response to Workman's statement "lawsuits cost money" i.e. you WILL hand us your $ or else) that unless you state that you are going to HOLD THESE OATHBREAKERS TO THEIR OATHS (meaning Gottlieb's well funded legal staff) I won't be impressed. Workman's response was of course in line with Alinsky's rule #5 "you tell a judge that he will tell you to blow it out your ass". F*** them all, all these corrupt "gun rights" organizations. AS IF I was talking about telling the "judge" that.
Hey Gottlieb! No the courts do NOT have the final say! WE GUN OWNERS DO YOU PIECE OF......!
Nobody has the right to take my rights unless I give them that right of which I have no intention of doing.
It's sad that gun groups are chiefed by the double-tongues.
All governments derive their power from the consent of the governed. They have no power we do not voluntarily cede them. Ultimately we decide whether or not we have rights and whether or not said rights are, in fact, unalienable. In the final analysis, all compliance is voluntary. We may not enjoy the consequences why accrue to non-compliance but ultimately to comply or not comply is an individual choice. And we should at all times remember that the ratio of chiefs to indians will forever favor the indians.
