Not to start an argument about the whole "permit" absurdity that has been foisted on us, but because of his given reasons added to his total record and noting who he's standing in solidarity with.
NEVER give directly to the GOP because they'll end up sharing it with those who will use it to subvert your birthright.

Lil Petey King has a legacy of hatred against Southerners. He also has stood shoulder to shoulder with the IRA terrorist group. He is a reliable supporter of the police state.
“Local government should have the right to determine who has a weapon in that locality and what the rights and privileges are,” he said.
My understanding is that governments have powers while the people have rights. I believe the issue of "State's Rights" was settled at Appomattox Courthouse in 1865.
Scalia said that the Second Amendment right is a right just like any other. If New York can abridge my Second Amendment right, can Alabama turn around and abridge rights guaranteed by the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth?
On the topic of donating to the national GOP, during the committee debates on the Brady Bill, (then) Rep. Chuck U. Schumer claimed that the NRA had the GOP in their pocket. He was answered by my representative, Iliana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) who said she would stand her NRA F rating against his any day. I haven't given to the GOP since.
And please don't call her a RINO. The term RINO implies that the GOP is a conservative organization. That's like assuming the NRA is a gun rights organization. They aren't, never have been, and probably never will be.
Just sayin'.
