The fun with turkeys continues.

The town of Brookline is an urban island of Norfolk County surrounded by Suffolk County’s City of Boston:

““Wild turkeys have a ‘pecking order’ and people who act fearfully will be treated as subordinates,” the site advises.

If you are approached by a turkey, the website says, “do not back away or turn your back.” Rather, it says, “Step toward the turkey and act confidently.””

In this "enlightened" age, the preferred solution is, of course, frowned on. In its stead, might I respectfully suggest that all who fear attack carry a small broom w/which to shoo the birds from one's path?

There is a time proven 3 step process that has worked for many:

1. Shoot

2. Shovel

3. Shut up
