“I plan on sticking it out,” Clayton said. “Hopefully justice will prevail. I’m not worried about my administrative hearing.”
When was a cop EVER worried that an administrative hearing officer would do anything but reinstate him?
OTOH, the way the Chief's detractors on the board ended the public meeting, kicked the public out, and then restarted the meeting in private was a deliberate violation of the open meetings laws, and they all need to be removed from duty without pay.
I don’t think so. Commitee action on employee issues (especially discipline) are considered confidential HR actions and are generally exempt from public meeting requirements.
