I wonder if anyone has assessed what a reverse strategy of firing and replacing the malcontents might yield. I mean, it's not like they're air traffic controllers or anything...

The NFL has two problems: many of their players are out of control, and many of their fans object to it.

Instead of controlling their employees and appeasing their customers, they chose to (attempt to) appease their employees and further offended their customers.

How did these team owners ever manage to get where they are today? I realize that Bush just had his daddy buy him a team, but do the rest of them all get theirs that way too?

Maybe they’re going to have to run out of carrots before the find the stick they need at the bottom of the barrel.
