Exclusive: 3,000 Tyrants

“Which is better—to be ruled by one tyrant three thousand miles away or by three thousand tyrants one mile away?”—Mather Byles [More]
King George III with his “swarms of officers sent hither” was a greenhorn by comparison.

The Declaration of Independence is actually more valid today than when it was issued to King George III.

All that's required is to blow the dust off, make a few very minor modifications, and readdress the document to the attention of our current American rulers.

Note especially the complaints regarding the corrupt British legal system, and how they apply today to our own corrupt judicial system.

I don't call it a justice system as I would only be half correct-after all, it is a system but the justice is difficult to locate.

The real difficulty is the lack of forceful resolve by the citizenry that must support the document and that was present when originally issued to the British Crown.

Jefferson appears to have been right that we would suffer were there only few or no rebellions continually remindful to our governments that the people retain the spirit of Liberty and will not peaceably accept steps taken towards tyranny.

The logistical problems associated with one target, oops that should be tyrant, three thousand miles away are several orders of magnitude more complex compared to that of dealing with three thousand only a mile away.
