There's a Word for That

Trump: 'Take the guns first, go through due process second' [More]
That's called "tyranny." No prominent Democrat would be allowed to get away with saying that without enraging every gun owner rights advocate out there.

You don't have enough enemies who want to see you impeached and even imprisoned?

I strongly suggest you rethink what you just blurted out and then explain yourself in detail and apologize for misspeaking, because if that wasn't just running your mouth before thinking it through, you've just put yourself on equal footing with the worst of them.

Due process as an afterthought, Mr. President? How about if we have Mueller do that with you?

Hat tip to G. Marx: Gentlemen these are my principles. If you don't like them I have others. This is why I couldn't vote for the "man" he HAS no principles.

Yeah, I'm hoping Trump is just jerking the Democrat chains (he's done it in the past) but this is going pretty far. This goes beyond compromise if he is seriously considering this. The Dems are really happy.

So if he does this the progs who hate him will somehow magically like him and vote for him? And likewise, he cares so little about his base that he's willing to lose their support?

Or is he just trolling?

Humans have a right to life yet we execute some humans. In order to be certain that their right is violated only when absolutely necessary, we make the government first go through the steps referred to as "due process".

Humans have a right to keep and bear arms. I'm quite sure even the President can fill in what comes next.

Everyone here seems to have forgotten that Trump himself owns guns:

The 'Goldwater Rule' notwithstanding, what if Due Process took a back seat to guns being removed from Trump?

Or Trump being removed from Office?

How would he like that?

Sentence first! Verdict afterwards!
