I remember when George Allen was running for reelection for US Senate, I'd see these bumper stickers 'Sportsmen for George Allen" -- my reaction was "Why?" -- is he for hunting, or is he going to defend the RKBA for all of us? He was going wobbly on 'assault weapons' ..... so. He finally came around.
'Sportsmen' is misdirection. An Illusion.
