The feedback loop that was created when we fed cattle byproducts to other cows as feed resulted in mad cow disease. Some people learn from their mistakes and some don't. Given their continuing denial of what caused the collapse of "worker's paradises" in East Germany, the Soviet Union, Romania, Cuba, and Venezuela you can guess to which group I'd think today's progressives belong.
