The one key thing all of those sterling examples of criminal political luminaries shared is the goal of disarming their constituents and their countrymen, and Reynolds had consistently been one of the worst of the lot. This clown has about as much in common with current Africans as I do with the Mexican Nationals Illegally in this country hanging out in front of our local Home Depot stores; probably less. May he have fun trying to teach them what passes for English in DC- I doubt he would devote any effort to trying to learn the local languages, even just pidgin.
When he does arrive in Africa he will find that even wealthy countries like Nigeria have dysfunctional power grids, hospitals that provide a very low standard of care, rampant crime, and politicians even more corrupt than ours. Of course, he'll feel right at home with those guys, but I have a feeling that the rest is going to be quite a shock. Enjoy, Mel!
