It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Word 'Responsible' Is

Although many are opposed to the addition of HR 4477, which amends the Brady Bill, this amendment only looks to enact more responsible reporting to the Instant Background Check System.  [More]
Inigo? You had a thought?

Besides, not everyone agrees.

"No matter whom the Republican challenger is we must get behind that individual,"

RNC must have issued some talking points to the useful idiots. I've been seeing that pop up a lot in the past few days, even more than usual for a mid-term year. GOA, these folks at Ammoloand, and this, just to name a few.

"Congressional Bill HR-38, National Reciprocity looks like it will meet minimal resistance and should pass sometime this year."

Right. Any day now. Let me just hold my breath...

"Congressional Bill HR 3576, The Second Amendment Guarantee Act introduced by Congressman Chris Collins is still in committee awaiting additional co-sponsors."

They're too busy co-sponsoring "assault weapon" bans. Speaking of which...

"Pistol grips, forward grips, standard capacity 30 round magazines, telescopic stocks and many other cosmetic features will again be available in New York!"

Except that those Republican co-sponsored bans would take care of it at the federal level he mentioned.

Which would hurt more, losing your guns to an avowed anti-gun Democrat, or losing them to a supposedly pro-gun Republican?

I cannot stomach voting for an anti-gun Democrat, but I have, can, and will vote against a supposedly pro-gun Republican who cannot be trusted.

Unfortunately for us, the Republicans see gun owners as their Party's equivalent of the Democratic Party's block voting by African Americans.
"Who else they gonna vote for?"

As for voting Republican as "the lesser of two evils", I'm not really sure which is the lesser.

I’m tired of having to make a forced choice between a totalitarian thug on one side and a sociopathic confidence man on the other. Constitution or no constitution, “republican government” has proven itself a failed experiment, incapable of rising above the obviousl corruptibility of the politician’s own vested interests. Our only choice basically boils down to postponing the inevitable shooting war versus speeding it up.
