Lawsuit Filed over FBI’s Willful Failure to Process NICS Denial Appeals

“[T]he Defendants and FBI in particular, is improperly shifting their burden to the individual to follow up with various courts or jurisdictions,” the release explains. In other words, a government with comparatively unlimited resources is discouraging citizens from contesting its mistakes and from claiming their right to keep and bear arms. [More]
The feds screw up and make you pay for it, counting on most people not having the knowledge, wherewithal and persistence to successfully challenge a denial.

As a friend of mine put it - they subject you to the process. They have unlimited resources and know that most of us don't. Attorneys are real expensive from the beginning, and become increasingly so the further the case goes. Even IF someone is knowledgeable enough to start and prosecute a case on their own, the costs of filing paperwork alone can be prohibitive, especially since it would be in federal district court. And if you don't live anywhere near the court, there's the added travel and lodging expense.

They've made it pretty obvious that hey just don't care about our rights and don't want us armed.
