Moving Testimony

Now make sure you remember it and don't deviate one bit when the parasite or his relatives sue you. [More]

Not talking to the press in a situation like this is just as important as not talking to the police. If you must make a statement, do it under advice and oversight of counsel.

Well yes, you are correct. That is the sage advice Massad Ayoob always gave.

As for your "when the parasite or his relatives sue you." Isn't that a sad commentary on our culture?

He said he initially wanted to remain anonymous, not out of shame or regret, but to maintain the "dignity and integrity" of his ministry in Oakville. But he later reconsidered after being cleared of any wrongdoing in the shooting of the gunman...

If anyone in a similar situation needs to make a statement, it should be through NRA, GOA, 2nd Amendment Foundation or a local firearms rights group. Or through their personal legal counsel.

My father-in-law witnessed a robbery. When the local TV station showed up, his statement before closing his door was, "I don't talk to parasites."

One of the first things you do to fend off any lawsuit is to immediately file against the perp, or the perp's estate, for the cost of the round (or rounds) needed to protect you from harm, plus the cost of repairing any damage caused by the perp (deductible on homeowner's insurance?). If ignored, you win by default. Makes it a lot harder for the other side to sue if they've already lost.
