You know what's funny?

There's an old joke that goes around every election season that the polling places have been reorganized to prevent congestion: Republicans will vote on Tuesday, and Democrats will vote on Wednesday. In fact, this year, Facebook punished accounts that posted this joke for "fake news / election tampering."

The ironic thing is that the joke is absolutely true! For the past several elections, Republicans have voted on Tuesday, and Democrats got to vote Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and even weeks later!

Old joke from Texas, but applicable anywhere, really:

Walking down the street, Father Lima saw Jose, one of his young parishioners, sitting on a porch stoop sobbing.

"Jose! Why are you crying?"
"My papa did not come visit me yesterday!"
"But Jose! You papa died last year! Why would you expect him to visit?"
"If he could vote for Lyndon Johnson, he could come to see me!"

Way too close to the truth to be funny.
