Short answer is "We don't." There isn't enough epoxy and super glue and "flex glue" in existence to restore unity. If both sides were able to "live and let live" there would be no problem. Unfortunately, while one side has no particular problem coexisting with the other, the other does not allow any deviation from what it considers orthodoxy. Further, that side is so convinced of the rectitude of its beliefs that it believes that it has the right to FORCE conformity. Like latter day King Procrustes, the left believes that it has the right to force everyone to conform to its vision of the way things ought to be. I see no way for this to end save in blood. May the Creator have mercy upon our children and grandchildren.
