Oh, the beauty isn't that he sold the rights, but he sold them for a limited time (10 years). So he loots his charitable organization for a large personal payment, then sits back and does nothing, and ten years later the charity has paid him all that free money for precisely nothing... and it's perfectly legal.
If nothing else, he's a slick little crap weasel.
