I see too many accept prison rapes or child molester beatdowns and the like without thinking through what those really portend for all sentenced to the gulag. And you'd better believe guard sadism/corruption plays its part, either directly, by turning a blind eye, or by encouraging targeted inmate violence.
If there is any place a "special relationship duty to protect" ought to exist, it is when in custody.

I agree with your position completely,. David. Only fools, and non-Christians, advocate prison rape and death by beatings. The prison guards put Jeffrey Dalmer in a cell with a known psychopathic killer who carried out their goal of murdering Dalmer.
It's disgusting, at the very least, and horrifically dangerous. Can you imagine someone imprisoned for owning an unregistered bump stock, then Sodomized and regularly beaten?

I'm scared to death of going to jail or some "camp" at 65 I would probably die there...sorry if I offended you.
