Gov. Ralph Northam on Tuesday rejected two Republican-backed immigration bills that would have banned “sanctuary city” policies and required local law enforcement agencies to notify federal immigration officials of undocumented immigrants in their custody. [More]I guess when you're this useful to the cause, a few youthful indiscretions can be minimized and allowed to die down.

Logically if we have "sanctuary" counties that refuse to enforce "red flag" laws then by extension "sanctuary cities" that refuse to enforce immigration laws are equally acceptable. It works both ways or not at all. The solution is NOT refusal to enforce
laws..... it's eradication of unconstitutional laws...and if necessary those who constantly seek to impose such laws. Sheriff's who won't enforce such laws will eventually be replaced by a sheriff who WILL enforce it. Thus the "sanctuary" concept is merely a delaying action during a retreat from freedom.
