Misplaced Anger

Lopez pled guilty to "trying to smuggle more than 6 kilos of cocaine and heroin into Detroit" But, "despite the confession, the severity of the charges and Lopez's status as a non-U.S. resident, visiting magistrate Vesta Swenson set bond at $2,000/10 percent. The defendant posted the $200 needed to get out of jail and fled."  [More]
Anybody who has 6 keys of that stuff would have no problem coming up with the full amount. Letting criminal foreign nationals loose should really be the focus of the outrage.

Hell, here in Oregon we "quietly" let a mex busted with 11 pounds of crank out of jail on O.R.. just to keep Gary Harrington in.( the guy with a pond full of illegal rain water.) We'll never know the full extant of the crap that goes on.
