"Suncor’s agreement with its independent operators prohibits the carrying or possession of firearms on the property, regardless of whether the firearm is permitted. We are unable to provide additional information, as this is an employment matter between the operator and its employee." [More]No, you are unwilling to provide additional information because it would show from a strict bean-counting point of view you frickin' frostbacks figure the bottom line would be better served with the occasional dead employee and customer.
And yo, idiot law professor: What "other way" was there?

Well, Suncor accepted a corporate charter (granting them limited liability) from the state, thus making them "a creature of the state". With that charter came certain powers that are within the purview of the state to grant to its creatures. Infringing the right of the people to keep and bear arms is not one of those powers.
IANAL, but I could probably win that case before a truly random jury.
Well, of course, SunCor is right! Who wants some ordinary citizen defending themselves? Why they may shoot customers, or the gas pumps or something. This is a job for the highly trained professional police who NEVER shoot the wrong person or shoot up a neighborhood. . .Oh, wait
