It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Term 'Middle of the Spectrum' Is

I found this 1975 House Judiciary Subcommittee on crime hearing record while looking for something else. I'll need to come back and revisit it in my copious free time. Meanwhile, feel free to make discoveries of your own.

This is reminiscent of things you will find in the eminently readable history of the NRA, “Gun Control” by past president Robert Kukla. Anyone who didn’t personally live through the early years of panicky federal gun control and the innumerable ill-fated NRA compromises would benefit from reading this book. There are also many hidden and forgotten jewels to be found inside, such as the revelation that Charlton Heston was a proud signatory of one of the earliest celebroty “open letters” to congress in favor of gun control.
