Ask Amy: Dad is horrified to learn there’s a gun in the house [More]If I were the daughter I'd be demanding a paternity test, because he sounds more like Confounded Cuck.
And are Amy's exploding hollow points anything like Patricia Eddington's heat-seeking bullets that cook deer? In an indoor situation, she instructs readers that her "research" concludes a responsible concern for controlled penetration equates with "yet another (likely unsafe) gun owner in this country"?
As for 11 states banning them, does she mean "armor piercing" rounds? Because all I'm seeing are San Francisco and New Jersey, And the latter is not a ban but restrictions on transportation and use that allow for home use.
I guess all you need to be an advice columnist is an ... opinion. Ann Landers and Dear Abby were no better, except for the time I was pleasantly surprised.
Speaking of which, how 'bout some music?

UPDATE: This is how a fundamentally dishonest person redirects from legitimate criticism and recruits followers to rally to her defense:
Of course they do, even if others disagree. Had she left it at that instead of spewing demonstrable misinformation to untold numbers of trusting readers, there'd have been no need to challenge her. As is, the bad advice will no doubt reach a magnitude more people than the truth, something she obviously would rather see ignored than admit to, which tells us all we need to know about her.

Exploding ammo? Where can I get some. There is no such ammo for a pistol. Hollow points are the goto bullet for self defense. The Police carry hollow points. .40 call is an extremely good self defense weapon. I commend the girl for taking care of her own safety. I bet those two houses with a home invasion wished they also had a gun. So called dad got his panties in a bunch over nothing.
First rule of needing a gun is having a gun. You can't decide when the creeps in the world decide to start things.
Your dad's dumbass.
OMG. I was hoping it was some kind of spoof.
But's it's not.

Notice she's all for choice when it's Progressive.
Feeling Betrayed. Exactly.
I have to lock my bedroom door at night because I don’t know what she’s going to do.
Then what is she doing in the home? Is he locking up the kitchen utensils and hiding the hammers? Maybe he should reflect on the way his daughter was raised.
